Mets blank Phillies 3-0

The Phillies’s starter Cole Hamels went 6.1 innings, allowed 9 hits, no home runs and 2 earned runs with one walk and 3 strikeouts. Chad Durbin (2.49), Antonio Bastardo (2.08), and Danys Baez (4.35) also pitched for the Phillies. With the win, Pelfrey’s record goes to 7-1, while Hamels falls to 5-3. Francisco Rodriguez earned the save for the Mets, bringing his saves up to 9.

In addition to the 3 runs, the Mets managed 9 hits and committed no errors. Jose Reyes led the Mets in hitting with 3 hits, followed by Angel Pagan’s 2 hits. David Wright had a tough day at the plate, leaving 5 runners on base. Shane Victorino had the most hits for the Phillies (3), followed by Raul Ibanez (1). The Phillies mustered no runs, 4 hits and one error.
